I approach the counseling relationship as a peer. I am not a therapist; I can offer advice, share about my own life and experiences, and meet you without an agenda or “treatment plan”. I create a judgement free environment and work with you to create the peace you are searching for. Neurodivergent Support
Every mind is unique, and that applies to the neurodivergent community as well. With that in mind, I offer individualized support plans focusing on the things that the client needs the most. From body doubling to organization to time management solutions to sensory supports, I will find what support or accommodation works best for you and your individual brain.
Complex Paperwork
There are a lot of different types of complex paperwork; anything from buying a home to signing up for a new medical insurance plan. The difficulty with complex paperwork is being able to navigate it quickly, efficiently, and accurately. I can help to make sure all the forms needed are there, everything filled out like it needs to be, and filed within the guidelines.
Goal and Actionable Plans
It can be difficult to establish a goal when you don’t know what’s possible. It can be equally difficult to create a plan without a solid goal. I can help with that. Creating an achievable timeline, an accomplishable goal, and an actionable plan, to accomplish that goal, on that timeline, is going to make the next steps and the future so much easier to reach.
Navigating Budgets
Building a budget is often the first advice people receive when they want to manage their finances. Nobody tells you how to build that budget though. It’s more than just math, you also have to take into account your habits, goals, expectations, and mental health. A good budget is the budget you can actually stick to. I can help you build that budget, learn how to build financial goals and budgets for yourself, and how to stick to them without going crazy.
Fitness and Health
In this age of misinformation it is so difficult to build a safe and healthy life without opening yourself up to harmful diets, ineffective supplements, and dangerous exercises. I can help with exercise plans, meal plans, food prep, augmentations for disabilities or injuries or dietary restrictions or dietary needs. As someone with chronic health conditions, I can also help you learn how to advocate for yourself in a medical setting, learn the resources and supports available to you as a patient, and how to make sure your voice is heard.
Organization
I offer help in getting organized and staying accountable to yourself for your own organization goals. Is your social life chaotic and stressful and you wish it weren’t? I can help make sure you’re no longer double booking yourself or saying yes to events you would rather skip. Is your office a disaster of paper and post-it notes but you feel comfortable in the chaos? Cool, sounds like you don’t need organization help from me. The goal is to make you more comfortable and feel more in control of your life and space, however that looks for you. I am not an “organizer” though, so please don’t expect me to sit down and organize your desk for you!
